When the Vibe.FX team were here installing the inlet bells during a really hot spell – operations had to stop them from working during the peak heat ~ 34C, BUT we did not have to cut production as the fans did their job this time.. As before when we started this job it was hot out too (not as hot only 30 - 31 C) but operations ended up cutting production during this time as the coolers could not keep up before this conversion.

A good news story.

In a former position working with a transmission company I had the pleasure of working with the Vibe.FX team a number of times specifically for their expertise on solving vibration issues on our rotating equipment. Not only is the Vibe.FX team extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the proper installation of rotating equipment including bases & grouting but their rates are also very fair and competitive. I have also worked with several other current Vibe.FX employees for fan related projects and in one instance we saw outlet gas temp reduction of somewhere between 20-24 C lower than what they were previous to these upgrades being completed.

It was reported that the following work was completed by the Vibe.FX team to repair manual fan pitch adjustment devices to ASE24 A&B based on performance test results, correct poor performance (including air side cleaning of bundle, further pitch adjustment or replacing fans) adjust tower to new operating pressure. It is not documented as to how much impact each individual component had to flare reduction; however, all the changes contributed to a flare reduction estimate of $270k / year.

Our approach temp is down 5deg from prior to the upgrade, and our final discharge temp is up only 5deg in the last month, despite the 10deg increase in ambient. The headroom our cooler bundles had is now much closer to full utilization.

I first contacted Mark at Vibe.FX over 5 years ago when we needed to perform some vibration analysis testing at our Hardisty transfer station on some of our critical rotating assets. It didn’t take long before it was clear that Mark is an extremely knowledgeable millwright and vibration analyst. Not only did he provide valuable reports and recommendations on the actions needed to repair our vibration issues, he also has the knowledge and experience to perform the corrective action and repairs. Since our first interaction, we have continued to employ the Vibe.FX team for not only annual vibe checks, we have also used their team to review and correct some years old pump installations including the repairs of bases and grouting.

In the short time I’ve been collaborating with the Vibe.FX team on our aerial cooler optimization projects, I have been thoroughly impressed with their expertise and professionalism. The team, led by Russell and Bryce, alongside their dedicated onsite crews, has consistently delivered exceptional work which has exceeded my expectations and perhaps more importantly – has left our Operators happy. Each project they’ve undertaken has not only enhanced operational efficiencies but also resulted in significant cost savings across all our facilities. In fact, their performance has been so remarkable that I find myself frequently praising Vibe.FX to colleagues and other professionals within the industry. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to employ some of their other services in the future.
